Christmas 2023

Welcome to a special page all about our Christmas activities!

This year we want to bring hope, light and joy to the people of Henleaze and Bristol.

  • Celebrations begin on Sunday 17th December, 7:00 pm with our Carols by candlelight Service
  • At 4:00 pm Christmas eve - a Christmas eve celebration for all the family.
  • A traditional Christmas eve communion starting at 11:30 pm.
  • Then on Christmas Day - an all-age Celebration Service at 10:30 am.
  • Thursday 27th December at 2:00 pm - an ‘After Christmas Tea’. This is in the Bradbury Hall.
  • New year’s day at 10:30 am there will be a special Communion service to reflect on the year ahead.

Carols by candlelight

This is on Sunday 17th December at 7:00 pm. There will be familiar carols, songs, readings and music by the singing group. It will be followed by some warming refreshments.

Awesome worship adventures for all on Christmas eve

Join us at 4:00 - 4:45 pm for a short fun and happy service to start the Christmas festivities with all the family. As well as the Christmas story there will be ideas and activities for children and adults. Led by Revd. Neil Thorogood this will be a time to share the Christmas story with all the family, sing some Christmassy songs and generally have a good time away from the hectic Christmas preparations.

Midnight Communion

11:30 pm - 12:30 am Midnight Communion service will start at 11:30 pm in the Church. This is a quiet and reflective service with communion. This will be led by Revd. Neil Thorogood.

Christmas Day All age service

10:30 am. Christmas morning all age service in the Church. A joyous and holy way to celebrate the birth of Jesus. Bring your presents!
